You can create limitless mind maps, for many applications. They will help you explain and demonstrate your ideas to clients and collaborators, as well as plan projects.

What are GitScrum Mind Maps Used For

There are no limits for mind maps applications, but let’s mention a few things you can create with them:

• Your company portfolio/service list;
• Your company HR chart with job positions/functions (organizational structure);
• A map with your groups of target audiences;
• A map showing all your company working units or divisions;
• A product catalog tree planning;
• Plan an editorial calendar for a Blog or Social Media;
• An HR personal development program with courses per department;
• Educational sorted lists (nutritional, for instance).

How to enable Gitscrum Mind Mapping on my project?

If the Mind Mapping link doesn’t appear on your Sidebar, enable this feature:

1. Go to Project Settings > Project Information > Sidebar – Macro Features.
2. Check (✓) for Mind Mapping.

How to create a GitScrum Mind Map?

Create Mind Mapping from the Sidebar

1. Click Mind Mapping on the Sidebar
2. Click “Create a new Mind Mapping” on the main page.
3. A splash screen will open:
   Select the project where you want to place your Map
   Type a title for your Map
4. Click the “Create a new Mind Map” button.
   After creating your Map, you will Edit it, to name its parts.

1. Open your project.
2. On the header bar, click “Mind Mapping”
3. The “Create new Mind Mapping” screen will open:
   Select the project where you want to place it.
   Type the Mind Mapping tytle.
4. Click the “Create new Mind Mapping” button.
5. The Mind Mapping will be created.

How to Edit a Mind Map

Edit a Mind Map You’ve Just Created

1. Double-click the initial box with the Mind Map root field to edit its title.
2. Use the (+) icon to add an “arm” under the parent root.
3. Double-click every title box you want to rename (it turns white first).
4. Continue to use (+) to add “arms” under the level you want to place your new field.
5. Use the (-) icon to delete an arm under any parent root.
   Notice that if you delete (-) the parent level, all “arms” under it will be deleted, too.
   If you want to “move” an arm from one parent level to another, you must delete it, and then create it again under the new parent arm.

Edit a Mind Map Previously Created

1. Click “Mind Mapping” on the Sidebar.
2. You will see a list of the Mind Maps the team members created in your project.
3. Double-click the name of the project you want to edit.
4. Do the same steps above to edit the Mind Map’s fields (double-click the boxes to rename the titles, use +/- to add and delete new “arms”).

1. Click “Mind Mapping” on the Sidebar.
2. You will see a list of the Mind Maps the team members created in your project.
3. Double-click the name of the project you want to edit the title of.
4. On the Mind Map’s header bar, click the pencil (?) icon.
5. Edit the Mind Mapping Title – click the “Edit Mind Mapping” button.

How to Delete a GitScrum Mind Map?

1. Click “Mind Mapping” on the Sidebar.
2. You will see a list of the Mind Maps the team members created in your project.
3. Double-click the name of the project you want to delete.
4. On the Mind Map’s header bar, click the trash can icon (?️).
5. Confirm “Yes” to “Do you really want to delete?”, if you are sure.
   Notice no backups will be kept if you delete a Mind Map.
