Chapter 14 – GitScrum Wiki: create content with your team

GitScrum Wiki is a feature that will open a stack of possibilities for your team to contribute with your projects in several ways, as well as you can contribute to their growth, too. It’s the ideal feature to convey internal information from your company, but it can also be used to share content with clients, test campaigns, and make some content available to the world when you create public projects (read more about public projects in Chapter 6).

What is GitScrum Wiki’s purpose?

The main purposes of the Wiki feature are to:

  • promote collaboration among remote workers, by exchanging useful content and working together on them;
  • allow team members to contribute to the projects, adding pilot pages, templates, and suggestions;
  • foster interaction with clients, by showcasing ideas to them and asking for feedback, asking them to participate in the projects;
  • offer a functional way to do crowdsourcing, since you can make projects public and invite the public to contribute with you.

What kind of content can my team create with GitScrum Wiki?

There are no limits to your imagination and what you can find useful for your projects. Here are some examples:

  • Different suggestions and tips on how to combine the use of your product in a context (for example, fashion, decor, health or cook tips);
  • Personal and motivational messages from the top management or the HR of the company to all employees;
