Customizing Agile Columns in Your GitScrum Board for Improved Team Workflow

Customizing Column Names for Improved Workflow Efficiency on GitScrum Board

Kanban boards are a popular method for managing workflows and tracking progress. The traditional Kanban board is made up of three columns: To Do, Doing, and Done. These columns help break down the workflow into manageable stages, and they provide a clear visual representation of where each task stands.

In GitScrum, the columns follow a similar structure but with slightly different names. The columns are called Requested, In Progress, and Done. These columns are arranged vertically on the GitScrum board, and they represent different stages of the workflow.

The Requested column is the first stage of the workflow and it contains all the tasks that have been requested or assigned. Tasks in this column are waiting to be worked on, and they serve as a visual reminder of what needs to be done next.

The In Progress column is the second stage of the workflow and it contains all the tasks that are currently being worked on. This column provides an instant snapshot of what is being worked on and who is working on it. The In Progress column helps teams stay focused on what’s important and ensures that tasks are completed on time.

The Done column is the final stage of the workflow and it contains all the tasks that have been completed. This column is a visual representation of what has been accomplished and provides a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

How to Rename a Column
  1. Open your project.
  2. Click the (…) icon, at the header of your column.
  3. Click “Title”.
  4. A tab will open, so you must type the new desired name and click “Save”.

In conclusion, the columns on the GitScrum board are an essential aspect of the workflow management process. By dividing the workflow into Requested, In Progress, and Done, GitScrum provides a clear visual representation of what needs to be done, what is being worked on, and what has been completed. This structure helps teams stay organized, focused, and motivated, and it ensures that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
