Deleting a Column on GitScrum: Proceed with Caution

The Consequences of Deleting a Column on GitScrum Board

Managing your tasks and workflow in GitScrum is a breeze with its intuitive and flexible design. However, it’s important to be mindful when making changes to your board, especially when it comes to deleting columns. When you choose to delete a column, GitScrum will prompt you to confirm if you’re sure about this decision.

Please note that if you proceed with the deletion, all the tasks within the column will also be permanently removed. Before you take this step, it’s important to consider if it’s more appropriate to simply move the tasks within the column to other existing ones by dragging and dropping them.

Consider your options carefully to ensure you’re making the right choice for your project and team.

How to Delete a Column
  1. Open your project.
  2. Click the (…) icon, at the header of your column.
  3. Click “Delete”.
  4. A tab will open, asking you: “Do you really want to delete this column?” Click “Yes”, only if you are sure you want to delete the column and all the tasks placed in this column.
