How to Duplicate Tasks for Better Productivity

Simplify Your Workflow with Task Duplication in GitScrum

Duplicating a task in GitScrum is a quick and efficient way to create a new task that is similar to an existing one. This feature is particularly useful when you want to create multiple tasks with similar requirements or when you need to break down a larger task into smaller, more manageable pieces. To duplicate a task, simply select the task you want to duplicate, right-click on it, and select the “Duplicate” option. This will create a new task with the same title, description, labels, and attachments as the original task, allowing you to quickly make changes and start working on the new task.

The duplicated task will be placed in the same column as the original task, but you can move it to a different column if necessary. This allows you to keep your tasks organized and maintain a clear visual of your workflow. Additionally, the duplicate task will retain the original task’s assigned team member, so you can quickly assign the task to the correct person without having to manually enter this information.

Duplicating a task is also a great way to keep track of multiple iterations of a task, especially if you need to make changes or refinements along the way. By duplicating the task, you can maintain a complete history of your work and ensure that all changes are recorded for future reference.

How to Duplicate a Task
  1. Open your Task, by clicking its name.
  2. Click the Settings Menu.
  3. Click “Duplicate Task”.
  4. Confirm: “Do you really want to duplicate this task?” with “Yes”.
  5. Close the Task.
The Task will be duplicated on your Board, with the same name.

Overall, the ability to duplicate tasks in GitScrum is an important tool for improving your workflow and making the task management process more efficient and effective. Whether you’re working on a large project or just need to create a few similar tasks, duplicating tasks can save you time and streamline your work process.
